Liv van der Ham is a social documentary photographer and artist. Her work focuses on the complexity of human emotions, connection, and vulnerability. Immersing herself in the lives of her subjects, van der Ham’s work is an intimate portrait of the trust, care and friendship they share. Though emotionally driven her work addresses social and political issues. This is enhanced through an expansive and experimental approach to documentary, combining aspects of still and moving image, text and sound both in print and in exhibition.
